When we launched SoSo, we had no idea just how quickly this little idea, a space for women to meet, laugh and connect, would turn into something so special. It’s been a whirlwind of hugs, hot chocolates, and “me too” moments ever since.
Here are five SoSo moments that have genuinely made us smile and sometimes cry happy tears.
1. Our very first event - Launch Night
That first evening felt like magic. A room full of women who didn’t know each other but instantly clicked. You could feel the relief in the room as everyone realised it wasn’t just them. We still talk about that night all the time.
2. Watching new friendships form
The new WhatsApp groups. The coffee dates. The “fancy coming with me?” messages. Seeing women show up for each other in real life and stay in touch long after an event is exactly why we started this.
3. The pumpkin heads 🎃
What started as a random “shall we?” moment turned into a full-blown Tetbury spectacle. Pumpkins on heads, people laughing in the street, total chaos, and proof that grown-up fun still exists.
4. Our first sold-out event
That moment of hitting sold out still gives us goosebumps. It wasn’t about the tickets, it was the confirmation that SoSo had become something people genuinely wanted to be part of.
5. The messages we get after events
We’ve had messages saying “I haven’t laughed that much in years” and “I didn’t realise how much I needed this.” Those words mean the world and they remind us that SoSo is about more than events. It’s about belonging.
We’re only just getting started, but what a start it’s been. Thank you for showing up, being brave, and saying yes to new friends, new places, and new moments.
